Malawi is one of over 50 countries in the continent of Africa. It is small, and since they have never had a war, it is quite safe to visit.

People living in rural Malawi grow their own food. They depend on the weather to have enough to eat.

The food they eat the most is Nsima. It looks a little like mashed potatoes. Sometimes they have tiny fish or beans to go along with it.

Children make toy cars out of wire and scraps. And they love to play soccer!
