Malawi is one of over 50 countries in the continent of Africa. It is small, and since they have never had a war, it is quite safe to visit.
People living in rural Malawi grow their own food. They depend on the weather to have enough to eat.
The food they eat the most is Nsima. It looks a little like mashed potatoes. Sometimes they have tiny fish or beans to go along with it.
Bob and I volunteered at a school in Chim Wang’Ombe. Although there were very few books, the students worked hard to learn.
Children make toy cars out of wire and scraps. And they love to play soccer!
Bob and I loved our time with the sweet and happy people of Malawi!
