Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
Throughout my career, I loved teaching struggling readers, watching their spirits rise as they gained skills and grew to enjoy good books.
Now I volunteer with the refugee population, meeting fascinating people from all over the world. My husband, Bob, and I have volunteered to teach English in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Many of my ideas for stories come from the people I meet and the cultures I encounter.
